I have no power to my Sony DCX-L410X cd player i am trying to install?
Ok, so here's the deal. took out the factory cd player (it took a crap) in my 97 GMC Jimmy. the radio and whatnot were working fine it was just the cd player part that wouldn't read cd's anymore so i decided to replace it with the old sony cd player i had laying around. now i took everything apart just fine and now that i have identified all my wires i can't even get my cd player to power up. i'm sure i have the right wires because all the colors match the diagram i printed off for both the Jimmy and the cd player. now, i'm not a complete idiot so i've already checked all my fuses and actually had to replace one. however, i'm still having the same problem. i hook up my two power wires and my cd players ground and i can't get any power at all to it. i haven't done anything with the ground wire from the jimmy but surely the player would turn on even without that hooked up, right? anyway, if you have an idea please let me know. thanks a lot
If you blew a fuse you may have also blown a fuse under your hood. Check those.
