Sheets Matte Ink

How can you make durable (weather-resistant) bumper stickers on an inkjet printer?
I have forms that are specifically for bumper stickers. They are full-sheet, (one per sheet). You just print and trim to size. I am able to do a 2-up on a sheet, with one pixel-width between, as a guide for cutting. I lay the ink down fairly heavy. But..., it IS an inkjet, with inks that run when wet. I can spray the bumper stickers with several coats of a clear matte acrylic sealer, but it takes a long time to do that, and it still doesn't fully protect the ink. Is there another solution?
This is under 'Photography', because I know problems similarly exist in preserving photographs printed on inkjet printers (even though they're not usually out in the rain!).
You will have to use a printer that uses special "photo" quality ink that among its other attributes, will not run when exposed to fluids and have a high resistance to UV light.
The Epson R260 is one such printer and it uses Clariaâ„¢ ink for photos that stay brilliant. While the R260 is no longer made, it is an example of the kind of printer that will do what you need done. That printer has been replaced by the D280
