Tips for scanning photos? Best photo software? Best online storage?
Hello, I have a lot of pictures to scan. These range from the 20's to around 2005.
For the time being I want to put them onto disc to make copies for the family. I'm sure some will end up being printed, some onto a family website and some may be enlarged. What options should I use from scanning that would be the best without know exactly what I'm doing with every picture?
What about software? I'm getting ready to take a multi-media course at the college but does anyone have any suggestions?
I also want to back up my photos and I do not have an external hard drive. How do you store yours? Do you use and online option? I was using one but the only way you could get copies was to buy them and have them printed! That is not what I want. I just want to store them as a safe alternative.
Any suggestions on how to sort or "file" the pics?

Well, when you scan your pictures you should get a pop that asks you which program to use. Choose a program that works with pictures well, such as, if you have a windows Xp...you can use this program called:...Microsoft Digital Image....if you don't have Windows Xp try another program but, I use Windows XP, Well, I'd say buy Photoshop is a great program but expensive and you can edit pictures very well. As for storing your pictures you should buy a USB cord that stores a bunch of information such as music, flies, pictures. You can buy it at Best Buy or Fry's or Office Depot or Staples. Why don't you try this website:Photobucket.com, it's free and it stores all your pictures files and video files and edit your pictures and videos too....GOODLUCK!
