Painting High Gloss Ceiling - Technique Question?
I am remodeling and in my little bedroom I am going to paint the ceiling a high gloss pale yellow to add visual interest to the room. (The ceiling is perfect with no imperfections.)
Never painted a ceiling before and I have read high gloss paint will be touchy. Should I paint in straight lines (with an extension handle walking the width of the room) or paint a large "W" and fill it in like when painting walls (standing on a ladder one section at a time)?
Thought I'd see if anyone has done this. Found all kinds of photos on line of high-gloss painted ceilings but nothing as to technique!
The important thing in painting with gloss paints is that you keep a "wet edge" that is, you need to make the paint you are applying cover over paint that has not dried yet. Don't do part of the room and take a break then come back. If you do there will be a noticable line in the paint if you paint over the edge that has already dried.
